i sang to get their approval

anyone who has gone to college can relate to this. i hope. you know when you go to college you have to submit yourself to these interviews before you get their nod or approval to become a bonafide student of their university. so that, i went through. it was my second interview so that means i already passed the entrance exam. we we're asked to just stay outside the dean's office and wait for our queue. evryone was so nervous. when it was my turn, i composed myself and went inside. a faculty member asked me to read a certain chapter and that he would be back later for questioning. and boy it is psychia book. to cut it short he came back and asked me several questions which i was able to answer. i thought we're done already. i was about to leave when he asked me about my hobbies. so i said, "ahmm, i sketch, sing maybe?, ahm," i stammered seeing those people in the faculty room staring at me. i wasn't ready for that i was too shy then. then he said, so u think u can sing? with all confidence i said yes, all of us in the family loves to sing. he passed on to me this comb and told me to sing. that moment i knew it's either i make it or break it. to impress the crowd and to get their nod. everyone was eager to listen. it was a whitney huoston song, do it on my own. and so i began to sing. i was already on my second line when he said, okay thank u. i was so embarassed. i could see their brows arching and their sheepish smile. good thing he gave me a chance, "u said earlier that u sketch?" and i nod i couldn't afford to speak anymore. i was all red. i sketched him and he smiled, he loved it, i hope. now im still in the university and im graduating soon.. hopefully.. so, you. tell me about your college interview or audition perhaps.
