Africa wants to make asian's black

There is some controversy going on in South Africa where they do not aknowledge chinese people as its seperate race. They want to categories them as whites or blacks. This is disturbing to me because it not a white or black world.

I think its really stupid that this is going on. I think china and all asian countrys should sever ties to South Africa until they get the respect they deserve.
Chinese is not the new black, who is with me?

Thanks for your response. Although i don't think you are aware of what is going on in South Africa, they are trying to classify asians as black. Which I feel is not right. They should not be put in as blacks.

I also think poverty has a lot to do with this behaviour. there's a lot of poor people in south africa and they feel resentful

Thanks for your comment. I also agree and feel as if there might be a lot of poverty there. Besides who wouldn't get tired of all the politics when you can't afford stuff.

I guess this is just another way of discrimination against another race. Geez, when will people learn to realize that we live in a world of diversity, with different people, different cultures and different customs? This is really where wars and arguments start, when people are not willing to look at the bigger picture and embrace it. I'm just shaking my head in disgust at the moment....yeah, I guess Asian countries severing ties with South Africa is a good move to demand that respect!

This is the most rubbish thing I've ever read.
I am Asian and I think some Africans who are educated and not narrow-minded don't think that way. I have a brother who works in Sudan, Africa. So far, I haven't heard from him about that stupid thing.

Oh the South Africans suffered under apartheid for such a long time, and that seems to be the only thing they know. I'm not saying it's excusable tho

I just find it silly that they cant get past the race. After all the more we intermingle the more races we make. I am of the both mixes and wonder how that would have affected my future if i was there. Its bad enough many are not familiar with black and chinese lol but to say that they are going to be considered black is just to funny.
