I got a slab of plexiglass, usually used as a ceiling tile, which stretches across the tub, enough too stay put. It works as if I had a desk.

I lay down and just keep my book in the air. I sometime rest my elbows on the sides of the bath.

I never take baths, so I can't say I read in the bathtub. I tend to be rather quick about that kind of thing and therefore prefer showers. I would be afraid of getting the books wet also, as was mentioned earlier. Great for you if you find it relaxing though. I can see why for some people it would be.

I've done it before. I always have trouble keeping the pages dry. Sometimes when I take a bath I jsut want to veg and do nothing ,not even reading. I just enjoy the relaxation of the warm water and bubbles if I have some.

My husband loves to read in the bathtub.
He will lay in there until the water turns cold and he looks like a big old prune.
I have not had a tub bath in about five years.
I like to get in the shower, and then I get in and out as quick as I can.

I dont read in the tub as I would rather take a shower.I dont like to think of my skin particles floating around me while I am in thier.LOL.I guess I am weird like that.My sister loves to take baths and I am sure they are relaxing but its just not for me.I usually read on the couch or in a chair or in my bed.

I would love to be able to, but I tend to prefer to get as much of my body under water in the tub as possible. Unless I can find a waterproof book, that won't work too well for me.

I like to do it, but I usually end up getting the book wet, so it's not practical. lol

I used to do this all the time when I was younger/had my parent's bathtub available (all I have right now is a shower stall). It was always so wonderfully relaxing... as if a nice hot bath wasn't relaxing enough!

I tried reading in the outdoor hot tub at my husband's place in Arizona until a big gust of wind came along, and blew my book into he water. AARRGGHH!!!! It blew my cellphone in there too. I managed to fix the phone but the book will never be the same.
