I have been sitting at work all week listening to my co-workers complain and moan about their jobs and lives in general. This place gets to us all on occasion but these people seem to complain for the sake of complaining. I think that every day above ground is a good day. Are you one of the complainers or do you see the bright side of things?

Whywiki if I find myself complaining about something in my life continually, I start looking for a way to change it. I mean complaining does you no good to begin with, so if things are that bad that you are making folks around you miserable then do something and change what is wrong.

Exactly! I wish the folks around here would see it that way! If life gives you lemons make lemonade!

I don't usually see the bright side, but I usually don't complain out loud. It really irritates me when somebody does that.

I don't always see the bright side of things either but at least people like us know to keep it to ourselves when at work, nobody wants to hear it!

I don't have time for compaliners. I have a bad cold today, and that's annoying, bu instead o complaining about that, I just sated the fact, and I'm going to move on. I'm still going about my busines and making a few bucks. I have too muh to do to spend the day sleeping. LOL

That is my feeling too. So many times I feel like looking at people and saying "suck it up cupcake" but I bite my tongue most times...

When I was working in an office, I just tried to stay out of all that stuff. I can't say I was a bright side, but I didn't want to be mitching and boaning either.

Well, I realized I didn't want to hear it, so I figured that nobody else wanted to. And since I ALWAYS hurt because of the fibromyalgia, there wasn't any point in talking about it.

I'm not always bright and shiny either but at least we realize others don't want to hear it.

I am a firm believer in looking for the best in every situation, but sometimes it is pretty tough to see the 'bright side' and I have to content myself with just the maybe-not-so-dark side, hehehehe. Reminds me of that joke "How many women does it take to change a lightbulb?" and the answer was "None, they'd rather sit around in the dark and B!tch about it". Hehehe, but I don't think that tendency belongs only to women! I have definitely known plenty of men who do that!

How true! Plenty of men are nothing but whiners.

I try to always see the good in every thing so I don't look for the bad. I am a very positive person and I don't like negative people in my life. I stay away from those kinds of people because they just get me down too, and I don;t want to be down. You are right, every day is a good day, as long as I wake up in the morning. We make our own luck and so if these people are so negative it is their own fault. They need to make things happen in their lives, they don't just happen on their own. So if people are having bad luck it is because they are so negative and it draws more negativity to them.

Hello whywiki, Sometimes, I do complain a lot but the only person who always listen to my complaints is my husband. I am talkative but I don't like to complain a lot especially to colleagues or just friends. But fortunately, I don't complain all the time. I know how to appreciate my life and whenever I start to complain, it means that I can't stand the problem anymore. I know it is bad but sometimes, I feel relief after being able to tell someone whatever that I don't like.
