I recently purchased windows Vista home basic, and my brother windows Vista home premium.
Once I used his laptop and I realised that mine lacks some things, like the pop-up small window appearing when you pass the cursor above the name of the page that is open but you are not currently watching...
What other features are available in the different versions?

home, just like basic XP with just the new flashy vista looks. by the way u need a beefy comp to run that. Premuim. some programs that arent unclueded like windows helper or something. Premuim half of word, business says it all. its meant for business, upgraded secuirty and programs included for business. and ultimate is tie what i just typed all that into one, with the best WORD programs. its not worth getting yet becuase there will probelms that they need to fix. u should wait if u are considering to buying it. plus home alone cost 200! and if u have another 200 or 300 u can buy a whole new pc, pcs are farely cheap and powerfull nowadays and they all come with vista.

hi elenahap..
well for ur information vista is just like xp version,if u have Vista Home Basic = XP home edition n Vista Home Premium = Windows Media Center .Vista home basic basically doesnt have Aero interface n is not as resource hungry, if u want the fanciful transparent Aero interface then the home premium would be the way to go.
