what kind of work do you do and do you work as an independent contractor or as an employee for a company?
I work from home as an independent contractor for two different companies. One company I process data for insurance claims. The other, a pharmaceutical market research company, I am the executive assistant and project manager.

I work from home part time as an employee of a staffing company that hires disabled people to work in call centers around the US. The call center I work for is a department store chain somewhat like WalMart but not nearly as far-reaching. I don't like it. It is stressful for me, but I have no other real choice right now although I am looking into various options.

Recruiting can definitely be stressful. Part of what I do as project manager involves recruiting for our research studies and it's very high stress at times. Is there any other line of work you're qualified to do or would consider? Perhaps I, or someone on here may be able to point you in the right direction.

Sounds like you have some good work at home jobs going. I started working from home in customer service. Now I'm doing freelance writing. I am an independent contractor also. I really love doing the writing. I will be forever greatful to the friend that told me I should try it!

I've done some freelance writing. For about 6 months it was my main source of income. I loved it, too, until the company I was working for went under because the owner was spending the money faster than she could bring it in. I love writing and would love to get back into it again. It's not that I don't like what I do now; I do. I just love writing. And being able to make money doing something I love is even better.

I have links to the places I write for on my profile page if you'd like to look. The place I make the most money with is Demand Studios, but I don't have a link for them becasue they buy the articles outright...exclusive. They pay 15.00 an article which is pretty good to me.

Thank you!!! I really appreciate it. I'm in the process of completing my bachelor's degree and just found out that my tuition is going up, not to mention the cost of the books that just keep getting more expensive, so I'm always looking for a way to make more money. In addition to that my mom is going in for her second heart surgery in a year and she's not been able to work since she had her last surgery and is having a tough time paying her health insurance premium, so I'm doing everything I can to help out with that.
I will definitely check out the links you have. Thanks again!!
