My broadband works with the LAN card as modem is not compatible to it so, I use LAN card which supports up to 10/100 Mbps data transfer.

The good thing about the lan card is that one can connect more computers to the Lan and can share internet. I think with more fast internet more computers can be shared in a home. Internal modems are less now a days and mostly the external modems are provided by the internet providers themselves.

As the technology is increasing day by day the electronic goods are getting compact and convinient. Many features are coming on a single embedded chip.So having an internal modem is very helpful,as you need not switch on the modem everytime you want to browse the net.But I have an external modem and I face the above problem.

I am having an external modem. Here the internal modem is not available and most of the internet providers provide external modem when they provide internet. The wires can around all the places with the external modem. One solution would be to have wireless internet connection. I hope the cost of the wireless internet comes down so that every one can afford to buy it.
