Try walking. 20, 30, 40 minutes whatever she can do.
Once or twice a day at least 4 days a week. eat more fruits and veggies.
Watch the portion size of foods especially unhealthy foods sure as junk, fast food, etc.
anyone can lose weight. They just have to have the will power.
I lost 100lbs in 7-8 months by walking and working out and watching my portion size.
good luck to her and i hope she can start to lose weight.

I would say watch her portions and exercise. Why does she not ask her doctor? They have surgery for that but still with that you have to still eat right and exercise. They have a liquid diet with a nutritionist to. Please do not use the word fat cow anymore. Someone might find it offensive. Heavy would have been better.

If anyone has a magic cure for her, I am very interested too! I have been trying very hard to drop 10-15 lbs with poor success. I am always hungry!
I am trying something new lately. I bring healthier stuff to work, like a granola bar or yogurt along with my SlimFast shake. If I am hungry, I must eat what I brought. It is taking lots of will power as the families at the nursing home like to bring us treats.
I am also trying to train my husband not to buy me treats anymore. He is slow to accept that I mean it.
I have a whole drawer with chocolate in it that he has bought me. I am working up to tossing it away.
I am trying very hard to make better food choices and use portion control.

knightrider I do hope you dont c all your colleague a fat
cow to her face as that would be really depressing as well
as rather rude. she needs to get some exercise and stick to
the diet we all should use, lots of veggies, lots of fruits,
local diary, lean meat, and whole grains. and just 1500
calories per day, she will lose weight gradually and safely
but do not ever call her a fat cow.that is insulting.

I have two suggestions for her. The first is that she has to start liking herself just the way she is. Everyone has a beauty but if she is so unhappy with her weight, she is unhappy with everything and then all the inner beauty is gone. When she learns to accept herself, she will become more active, and the pounds will drop. My second suggestion is to find out if she is having some kind of health issues, like a thyroid problem. If she is middle-aged, menopause can cause a thyroid condition.
