whatsthe waorst thing about an office

Backstabbing, gossiping, an officemate trying to be somebody, an officemate who thinks she/he knows more than anybody even his/her superior/s can be the worst thing about an office. I experienced these and kept quiet at first and i felt so bad. Later on, i tried talking to friends outside the office and learned that these things too happen in other offices. I now try to ignore this kind of people. I try to focus on my job alone because after all these kind of people don't pay my salary.

Yup, backstabbing is one thing. The other is politicking...some people can be so nice to you and you treat them as your friends, and tell them about your problems at work (sometimes personal), and later you found out that they have been telling your secrets to others (worse, to your boss). Some colleagues are worse. You have put in a lot of time and effort to get a project done; and some people (could be your own boss) will claim the credit as theirs. Sounds like working in a office is like going to war, right?

True and it can ruin somebody's life, I was a victim of office backstabber and it was a nightmare for me.

There is a lot of gossip that goes on in my office, also sometimes laterin the week it slows down and I have to send people home early and sometimes there is nothing for me to do. I don't mind it to much but i do hate having to cut peoples hours.

Yes, I agree, backstabbing can be awful. Also, of course that stupid 'Office Gossip', honestly, I don't care if the bosses wife has had botox or whatever, haha!
