Is limewire safe??

the thing is sharing the file is not dangerous until and unless you have a useless anti-virus and viral to protect your computer. Many are downloading on anything from line wire and it is very safe. A good firewall will continuously check for any suspicious files which are being downloaded from the Internet and will alert you about the same at the very moment. If that is not the case then after you download when you start to play it can also firewall will definitely alert you about the dangers script which is going to run. And by this you can easily understand the other the pie is infected or it is clean. I'm using the softer for more than three or four years and I have never faced any problem is that in the same.

i believe limewire is safe. when my friend told me about limewire i downloaded it immediately. as of now i haven't encountered virus download via limewire.

Limewire is basically safe. You can get a virus just by turning the darn computer on! The one drawback with limewire is that it is a system hog and can really slow down your whole computer. Just make sure you anti virus stuff is up to date. And there should be a way to check those song downloads for viruses before you actually DL them.

limewire is safe but it slows down your computer very much,since its JAVA based.Have you tried bearshare or emule.Both are p2p softwares and give better search results and don't slow down your computer.Also p2p softwares are best used to download songs or video's.Almost all softwares are corrupted with viruses.Also when downloading songs,video's don't download the first one or two results which have 200 to 500 kb size.These are all viruses and trojans.

I use LimeWire too and a few times I downloaded a file it stops halfway through because it was corrupted or something.

Maybe thats what happened to my laptop also.My daughter downloaded limewire for her favorite songs and suddenly it has a virus.Perhaps its the same as what happened to yours.
