I'm sitting here tonight trolling through mylot and I'm getting the munchies, so I look at my cat Char and say oooh you have more treats than me, i'm gonna go and steal some of your treats, then Timmy the bird chimes in "Treat Treat", as Char runs to the kitchen looking for her treat (as if she is not chubby enough ). So I go to the kitchen, and find she has eaten all her pepperoni and chocalate, since when does she help herself. That girl better get a job, because she is eating me out of house and home, and doesn't even do any chores when I'm away. What the heak is up with that?
Who is the boss and breadwinner in your house?, you or your pet?

My cat would be the bread winner! She brings in her treats. She brought me in a nice live crow the other day. It sure was having a blast flying around my house untill I kicked it out and the truck driving by smacked it. Ouch! She also came with gopher hanging out of her mouth. She likes her own treats better.

Ahhhhh, see she makes sure she has treats that you won't steal from her, boy she really is crafty.
Gee I really feel bad for the crow and gopher, least your cat has a job, and gets out in the world.
My cat just has to stay indoors all the time. Lol I tried to put her outside a few times, and it is too funny, she won't leave the doorstep. She is spaded and bored, but I have a surprise for her... We are getting a new baby!

Hey there pet lovers!
I've got a dog, two cats, a man and a daughter in my house. Needless to say it gets prety crazy around here some times. Hahahaha! I thought my cat, Smokey, was the fattest cat in the world until I started reading this discussion. Thing is, though, that I look after folks who suffer from mental illnesses, so the animals have the job of helping with the theropy. Ringo, my Jack Rustle, runs around like a maniach, licking everybody's faces and making us laugh, and Smokey is the biggest sweetheart you can imagine. He's more cuddley than any other cat I've ever known, and when one of us is sick, he either sits at the door to the bedroom, or lays his fat self down on the bed beside the person. They earn their keep, I think.

I have a four pound maltese that sleeps on top of the bed which is a travel carrier. I keep a blanket on the top as well as one inside. This dog may only be four pounds but half of that is brains I'm sure. I have never seen a dog hate a bath as much as my dog. Today I thought now would be a good time to bath the dog. Keep in mind the dog is sleeping on top of the house and was sound asleep. I said to my brother in law would you do me a favor, I'm going to bath the dog and while I'm doing that could you clean the bed and put a fresh blankie inside. He said sure and I went to get the dog. Gone hitting in the bed as far back as possible. Too funny. This dog has us wrapped real bad.

I guess it is time you learned the hard cold facts, the pets and the kids rule the roost. They eat you out of house and home and they put you in the poor house. When you try to say NO! to them they tend to look at your with their sad little eyes that can melt the heart of the strongest person and guess what you give in.
I am sooooooo sorry to tell you the hard cold facts but the pets are the ruler of the roost.
Last night was Independence day here in the USA, and my dog has decided he cannot stand the noise. He has never been afraid of the noise before. The neighbors where letting off some sort of fireworks which scared him so much he followed me into the bathroom and tried to hide behind the toilet when I was using it.
So I felt so sorry for him and we where leaving to go out of town. We locked up the house, closed the windows and turned on the radio very loudly so maybe he could not hear the noise outside. I worried about him so much. I could not take him with us because our daughter has two big dogs and I was afraid they would eat my 6lb dog, for a snack. My daughter has a mastiff and a queen lands healer.
He was fine when we got home. the house was so hot and it took a while to cool it off when we opened it up. It was not to hot to leave Petie in the house. I also made sure the cats where in. So all was safe listening to the County Western music.
