I am using internet from the past three years. Now I am got addicted to internet. The first thing I do in the morning is checking my e-mail inbox. I am using an unlimited connection, so that I do not have any problem in using the internet continously. What about your opinion?

I first started using the internet in 1998, when I was in a school for computer programming. I didn't really get into it until 2004 on my mother's pc. I still use dial-up, with its slow speed. I will, in the near future, be getting hi-speed connection, since I know how much faster it is than dial-up. Until then, I will remain content with this unlimited dial-up service for surfing, email and searches.

Back in early 1995 a friend of mine told me that the internet was being make available in our area. I am sure I was one of the first 10 people online in our city.
I had a few friends on the inside that gave me a heads up.
What was really cool about it was that it was new, not even windows ready yet, so it was all hand coded commands but fun.
The techie on the phone with me during the setup messed up and used my password as my username. At the time usernames were 8 characters.
When I called back the next day I talked to the same techie and told him he used my password instead of my username so he asked me what I wanted as a username and I said 'jim'.
Even though all others on this ISP have at least 8 character username I have had my 3 letter name for my username since 1995

I started out 11 years ago and I was a big fan of mIRC, ICQ, and Yahoo! chess. The internet connections back then were commonly dial ups. I was at a 33.6kbps connection. Only a few have ISDNs and much much less for DSL. Dial ups are enough back then. Pages aren't that fancy compared to today and loads up pretty quickly.
Up to today, I'm always connected 24/7 and enjoying the benefits of a high speed DSL connection. What's interesting is that the internet evolves really quickly and most sites demand more bandwidth. In any case, I got to live a second life on the internet. I do almost anything on the net. Take care!

When I first used the internet, about eight years ago, it was on dial-up and charged by the minute of use. I had to wait some time before offers of unlimited use were introduced. At first I could only use unlimited internet at weekends and after 6pm weekdays, now I can connect 24 hours 7 days a week if I want.
I do use the internet every day and for many hours, but I need to use it for work as well as for enjoyment.
