In this Asia cup 300 has become an average score. Teams have been chasing down 300 with such an ease. It was India who started the 300 chase when the got past Pakistan 299 and it must not be forgotten that India had 47 balls in hand, considering that India would have got 70 more runs which means 370 would not have been enough. So what score do you think is Match winning score batting first.......I suppose 370+ will be tough

its not about posting a good total in pakistani pitches. i am totally disappointed with the pitches pakistan has come up for this tournament and many previous tournaments. so many runs being scored in every match, a score 300+ being made batting first and easily chased by the second team.
the flat, batting only tracks are killing the fun out of cricket in my opinion. hello, aren't you just killing the bowling and the fielding department?? sure people like seeing shots being played but this is just over the top.
about a few years ago, a total like 250+ was considered a mammoth, nowadays 300 runs are just being scored in every odd innings. surely the game has changed, with the ontroduction of t20 and the new powerplay rules, but i think the wickets should be a total heaven for the batsmen and a nightmare for the bowlers. there must be some grass on it to help the bowlers.
with pitches like these, one simply cannot say what is a good defendable score.

325 must be a psychological barrier. Bowlers should bowl the first 10overs very well. Atleast the score be 50/0. The chasers will need 275 from 40overs. They will have to panic with every dot ball.

With the kind of scores we are seeing, I think it should be between 325 to 350. unimaginable I know, specially for India but this is the trend we are seeing for this tournament.

The prediction of the winning score depends upon the pitch on which the match has been played. The pitches in Pakistan have been mostly flat and you cant be sure of any target you set because if the team batting first can set a target why not team batting second chase it? Even the average total at karachi excluding last Pakistan bangladesh match was 314! U remember how South Africa chase down the 424 runs against mighty Australians?
But if the pitch is like the last match between Pakistan and Bangladesh, which got more than something for the fast bowlers and bangladesh were bowled out for just 112 runs. i believe then 300 will be a winning total.
So still nevertheless, the total somewhere near to 340 will be a more than just competitive total and gives you an edge. But as i told you are never safe. I remember in Karachi few years back, India gave Pakistan a target of 350 and Pakistna lost by a couple of runs...
So hope for a good match...
