Are you a sniffer?

I was out shopping with Hubby last night. (yes, a man that likes to go shopping) We needed to buy some new body wash for the shower. Down the aisle we go looking for a deal and of course a nice smelling one. So we are standing there sniffing the different body washes. Ended up with a minty smelling one. That made me wonder if we are the only sniffers. Do you sniff before you buy when it comes to soaps and lotions and other smelly things?

We absolutely sniff, since some scents make us sick.

I wonder about some scents, they are so gross I wonder who thinks them up.

Oh I love to sniff. I can't do it all the time because with my allergies, I completely lose my sense of smell for months on end. So when I do get some smell back, I go for it. I'll try out the shampoos and washes and detergents and candles, you name it. What a pleasure. So when my sense of smell leaves again, I know what smells are around me.

I can relate. I have sinusitis and go for months without a sense of smell! Use it while you can!

I don't like a lot of smelly things. I don't think I'd mind the minty one though. I tend to sniff to make sure it's not too strong, and i I find someing unscented, all the better. If I don't snif, I'm liable to come home with something absolutely disgusting. You're not the only sniffer in the world.

Uh huh I sure am. Have you ever poped open a cap and went to give it a sniff and kinda squeezed the bottle when you did, only to snort some of the lotion up your nose? LMAO I did that not long ago while shopping with my grand daughter. This sent her into fits of laughter therefore bringing us much attention from other shoppers LMAO.

I've done that several times and when alone and caught it can be a little embarrassing. Fits of laughter with a granddaughter are priceless memories.

Hi. whywiki. Yes I am. I do this all of the time. If I can open up the body wash or gel, I will sniff it to see if it is to my liking. I don't like to buy anything that does not smell good. That is my money that is wasted if I do. And I don't want to have to bring it back. So I will save myself the trouble, and I will sniff it before I buy it. I spray air freshers too. I want to make sure that the scent is pleasing before I will buy it.

You've never been the only sniffers in the world haha! Of course for things like perfume you will sniff to see what they are like... But I'm alot worse than that! There's not much that I don't sniff... Even if it isn't supposed to immit a smell I Still smell it! lol, Say if someone handed me a marble and said "Look at this" I'd pick it up, feel it, look at it and then sniff it... It's just my way of examening things =).... Weird huh? .

Hello whywiki, I do! I love to smell especially those shower creams, fragrance soaps, hand and body lotions and also perfumes! I love fruity smell and so whenever I go shopping for those stuff, I will sniff and sniff until I find the best smell that I love *laughs* Sometimes, it is just too much but I don't care!
