why do dogs

hi can anyone tell me why do dogs go around sniffing other dogs bums???? i know it sounds a funny question but i really havent a clue why they do it. i saw a funny thing in are village when there was a party this man was standing at the bar with lots of other people when his dog came along and sniffed everybodys bum untill he found his owner and when he did he sat down behind him lol. its a good job we dont do that to find our other half lol lol

Dogs recognize each other, even some other animals, by smell. That smell is strongest at bottom. That is why dogs smell their buts.

Dogs are scent-oriented creatures. A dog can tell a lot of things from the chemical signature of other animals, and the rear just happens to be a very fragrant zone.
