irradiating food

I'm not one for being a conspiracy theorist but with all the outbreaks going on I'm wondering how long it will be before the US government starts to openly push for irradiation of our food supply. Our entire food supply.
There are many companies that already use radiation with their foods and we don't know what is and what isn't because the only marking is on the original box sent to the store, not the packages we pick up.
Has anyone else looked into this option with food? With the hold Monsanto has over the food industry with its genetically modified foods I wouldn't be surprised to find this the next major thing to deal with.

Don't forget they might be fluoridating your water, or beaming messages from satellites into your head.
That is, I'm assuming you've not actually looked to see if there's any scientific research done on the potential harm from irradiated food or genetically modified crops. If you have, you'll find there's next to no reputable sources to prove any of it causes the slightest risk.

beaming messages, real mature.
Yes I have studied into this and while I don't see great health issues with it I'm still not happy about the idea of companies doing this and me not having an option. Unless I become a billionaire and get my own plot of land and grow everything I want and need the food industry is pretty much holding most of the cards.

I do actually, or at least I did before my computer crashed but I can't paste anything cause I don't have 500 post. I'm typing these out the long way so they will have to but cut and paste to open them up.

truefoodnow.org has a very long list of foods that are genetically modified.
I got caught up in this whole thing several years ago after seeing something on TV. Not to the point of chaining myself to trees to prove a point or anything but it did open my eyes to a lot of things in our food industry that I'm not too happy with.
My biggest issue is the lack of choice. Even when you have the ability to make that choice and don't want modified foods, money is usually the final factor.
