I doesn't have a habit of reading the book, even in my school and college days, i hate to read, even the Subject books, I used to Listern the class room and also discuss between our friends more than reading the books.
And also i doesn't have a habit of reading any of the story books also.. even when i have a chance to travel in the pubilc transport like Bus or Train, i used to listen the music only, will not prefer to reading the books..
But i used to see most of the people love to read the books, Even my husband used to keep some of the weekly magazines in his bag always..
But i dont know why i don't like to read the magazines too.. But i used to read the daily Newspapers, especially the Business news daily..
Do you have a habit of reading the books/Magazines..?? Post your opinions..

hey there, I have a really 'bad' habit of reading newspapers as I always feel the need to know what happens to the ongoing issues that happen around the world especially sports news. The reason why I call it 'bad' habit is because sometimes I feel the need to update them before I do anything else for the day and it takes hours of reading news.

I think one of the downsides of the internet age is the fact that we seem to spend more time online than we do looking at books. It's easier to play a video game on the phone than it is to read a book these days.
I studied "Arts" subjects at school and so I was required to do allot of reading. However, I never had the patience for reading heavy academic tomes. And so I managed to wing through most of my academic life based on a writing style and common sense.
I do enjoy reading books but I don't get particularly excited by little details and clever little bits and pieces of usage of the language. For some reason, I found Pride and Prejudice hard going. I couldn't get excited by the little clever bits of the way Jane Austen used language. I was more into the violence of Wuthering Heights.
I have to read news, and thanks to the internet, I have the privilege of being able to do so online. I probably read more widely than most. However, it's only recently when I've been taking more time out to try and read about my profession and also others so that I can actually sound more intelligent about the world around me.

Reading books and magazines are really refreshing than reading crap on the internet. I read Time magazine recently and was surprised at how refreshing it was to get quality information.

i have read a lot of books actually.. it's really one of my hobby when i don't have lots ofr schedule in school. i started reading since i was in elementary and until now i make it sure that i read every now and then. it is really a good habit because it gives you a chance to become creative through your imagination.. moreover, reading magazines and newspapers is really good because it give you an update on what is happening around you..
