Do you have a habit of Reading Books..??

I think one of the downsides of the internet age is the fact that we seem to spend more time online than we do looking at books. It's easier to play a video game on the phone than it is to read a book these days. I studied "Arts" subjects at school and so I was required to do allot of reading. However, I never had the patience for reading heavy academic tomes. And so I managed to wing through most of my academic life based on a writing style and common sense. I do enjoy reading books but I don't get particularly excited by little details and clever little bits and pieces of usage of the language. For some reason, I found Pride and Prejudice hard going. I couldn't get excited by the little clever bits of the way Jane Austen used language. I was more into the violence of Wuthering Heights. I have to read news, and thanks to the internet, I have the privilege of being able to do so online. I probably read more widely than most. However, it's only recently when I've been taking more time out to try and read about my profession and also others so that I can actually sound more intelligent about the world around me.

Reading books and magazines are really refreshing than reading crap on the internet. I read Time magazine recently and was surprised at how refreshing it was to get quality information.
