The loss of good bagels!

I'm moving to the west coast from the east coast, and I have to say one of the things I will miss the most is... bagels! Good, real deli bagels. I'm thinking of going so far as to have my friends back home send me some! How about you? If you were suddenly found bagel-less, what would you do?

Oh man! I feel your pain! My dad shipped me bagels from New York and I brought back dozens each time I went back when I was living across the country. The only tip I can offer you is to look for a good Jewish bakery. I went to a friend to temple and they had REAL BAGELS there made by a member, so I ended up finding a little hole-in-the-wall that actually made decent bagels. Thank goodness I'm back where you can get real bagels.

I'm on the west coast and in my city we have one place that makes good bagels. Mount Royale Bagels. The rest leave a little to be desired. I have a bread machine and made the dough in it then shaped and boiled them and baked them in the oven they were pretty good and a lot better than the ones found around here. You may need your friends!
