The news, brought up something i forgot i use to watch on tv when i was little girl, about 50+ years ago "Bozo the Clown". I couldn't belive he was 83. As far as i remember the show started in Detroit, Mi. My family and I lived in a small town called Marine City, Mi. It's strange how we forget things and when you see something in the news, how many things come back to life again. I use to watch the show every day. Are there any things that a story, tv or news might have made you think of something in the past? Let me know i might have had some of the same stories.

Wow...I do remember watching him a little when I was a kid. I never thought of him getting that old.
Another thing I used to love was Schoolhouse Rock. It was a saturday morning thing that came on between cartoons. It was a learning thing. They'd have a song and teach you a lesson at the same time. Things like nouns, verbs, Bills, and money. I found some of these on YouTube and spent the whole evening watching them. For those that remember them, here's a couple of links:

I could believe he was that old, since I watched him when I was a kid and I'm 57. I couldn't believe that Larry Harmon was not the original Bozo! But, here is part of the news story from last night:
Pinto Colvig, who also provided the voice for Walt Disney’s Goofy, was the first Bozo the Clown, a character created by writer-producer Alan W. Livingston for a series of children’s records in 1946. Livingston said he came up with the name Bozo after polling several people at Capitol Records.

I seem to remember watching Bozo the Clown when I was a child. But I can't really remember anything specific. I remember more about playing outside a lot. I guess that's something that kids don't do so much of these days. I think they like to watch TV and play computer games.
