Long commercials

I live in a small country and the commercial breaks on native channels are veeeery long about 8 minutes at 9pm :O anyway i'd like to know how long is the average commercial break lenght in your country.

I must say that sometimes the commercials are better than the programmes that they interupt.
However 8 minutes is a bit too long, although time to go to toliet, make a drink and a snack.
In Uk average length is about 2-3 mins.
