Why do we exist? Why are we here? What is the reason behind life?

One of the biggest questions in life, about life, and one that in our lifetime will never be answered.
Religions try to answer this question but still the answer is not clear or satisfactory.
Why God created us? Is it a game for him? To create beings called humans, to see them reproduce and multiply and die, and evolved, and not to know why they are here...just to speculate and look up to the stars and think why.
For those who do not believe in God, then what is this phenomenon (life, and our existence). What is the reason for us to exist, for all these planets and galaxies? What is the reason for this creation?
What do you think?

maybe the purpose of life is to ask questions and learn... maybe we get the answer when we die... when you ask something, it opens you up to new experiences and knowledge through the answers you find... making you grow as a person... no 2 people have the exact same experiences in life... so maybe the purpose of life is to simply live...

Great doubts and Thanks for bringing to me all those questions about life and existence, which I used ask myself some ten years before. Now after marriage and having a child, I am just busy in living.
Yes, God created us for living in this earth.
Yes, it is His duty rather than a Game
Yes, Why we are here (in earth): A part of universal life, we are nothing more than this. We have to go back to that universal energy after this life, and then split from there to another unknown planet (Humans are too small to discover universe beyond solar systems). As you told, the solar system is an atom, in which sun is the nucleus and earth is an electron. Such many many atoms together forms the body of GOD.
Energy is neither created nor destroyed. We just go back to HIM and come again in another form.
A funny answer to you if you allow me : Why we are here? In myLot, I am here to pass my time and earn a little bit productively
Thanks once again for sharing and asking

This is the ultimate question, and every person on Earth thinks about it. Since I have no religious beliefs, I believe that everything that happened is just a freak accident. The universe is one giant accident. Be it that their is a high being or power, the being is probably looking at us as entertainment.

Well, look at some of the creatures and things that exist in this world. Either "God" had a sick, twisted, sense of humor, or it happened randomly. I really do not believe that we were planned. I believe that we randomly came about. Yes, it does raise more questions. Questions such as: "How did we come about?" and "What happened to bring us about"? These questions may never be answered.

Actually the question has been here in the world for quite a long time now and until now, there's no unified answer to the question.
When I mean unified, I meant that each would have his/her own understanding or answer to these questions but none would admit to have one solid answer for all.
So, I say it depends on which idea you would like to agree with. Psychology has a different premise to that of religion, so with science and all the fields of study.
It's an undying topic of debate which we all know would not really lead to answers but more questions.
So I dare say, let it be. You'll know your purpose sooner or later and it won't be a general purpose, it's more of a personal idea or opinion.
Good luck to that. But if you're really curious of what studies have to say, you can go to schools and educators of different fields. And I assure your, you'd end up more confused than you ever was.

I think,It is a rotation and there is no end at all. The whole universe going on expand and contrast. So the questions are immature things. There is no end of space. likewise there is no end to our soul life.Reincarnation is the best example for my reason to this. But one thing you have to remember. We cant explain truth. But we can explain lies. For example, How will you prove the taste of an apple to a man who does not believe in apple or apple taste. The only way to prove the taste of the apple is to ask him to bite it and taste it. likewise we can feel and taste God by only soul experience and then only we can feel the answers of all the questions within ourselves. In Indian Science, it is called 'Anuboothi'. It is the feeling of the whole universe inside you. If you are interested in this, feel free to contact nobody. Sit in a lonely room and concentrate on your thoughts and try to get in trance. There you can find and feel all things of your questions.

We exist today because it is god's plan. We are here to praise God and live the pure life with out hurting any one and helping others. Reason behind life is learning that's what I feel so God wants us to know how the life will be. But I am sure one day we all will meet God and he will answer these questions better.

The answer to life is simple. The problem is most of us don't want to hear the answer. If we do think the answer is a possibility then we try to mold the answer into something that we think is acceptable. That is where all the different viewpoints come in and that is probably why no answer seems satisfying to you. Now if everyone would accept God for who he says He is and not try to change him and mold Him and make Him into something they think he should be then there would be one unifying answer. If you accepted it you would find yourself satisfied and contented and your questions to life wouldn't exist because you would know that you know that you know why we exist, why we are here and the reason for life.

Hundreds of philosophers have tried for thousands of years to answer this question and no one could give a coherent answer.
I think life is given to us by Someone above who enjoys watching us enjoying it. So, why not just enjoy it and stop being so ovephilosophical abou it ! Love is good ! enjoy it ! :P

I believe that God created us to be in fellowship with Him. To be in comunion with Him.
He also gave us the free will to do that or not. We can choose to be in fellowship with Him or to completely ignore Him. We can read the Bible - His love letter to us and a complete instruction manual about life - or we can choose to try to figure things out on our own. When we pray, we can offer a laundry list of things we want, or we can learn to be still and allow God's presence to envelope us so that His answers are clear.
I believe each one of us was designed for a purpose. When we discover our true calling, work is not tiring, but refreshing. When we discover the ministry for which we were called, participating gives us new life and new energy.
Sadly, in today's world, many people take any job and wonder why they are unhappy and tired. The ignore God, never read the Bible, never pray, and yet claim to believe in God. They've never considered that they should be serving God and humanity somehow, thinking that they're so busy with their own lives that there is no time for that. Time would open up and they would be refreshed and full of joy, if they only discovered their true calling.

we are here for a lot of things, depends on the individual what he think he is here for, and one of the reasons i think we are here is to find out why we are here, we learn we improve or deteriorate and find out that we are getting corrupted then change it, we are here to live and learn, to bring meaning to our existance

I am a true believer that 'God has a purpose for all of us'. That is why we are here. Some of us already know our purpose and some of us haven't found our purpose yet. Your questions are pretty heavy duty that really have no definite answer and these questions have been asked for a very long time. I too am a 'Why' person. I would like to know why about a lot of things.
Live your life a day at a time and take nothing for granted.
Always, Janet

i have asked myself the same question.....i have also thought deeply about this and have realised that those who are ignorant of their existance ...those who do not ask to many questions about why they exist tends to be happier..... i do wish that their was a deeper more meaningful expalnation for our existance....i gues thats why religion was created early in human civilisation...it helped us lead a better life through its rules....... if your religeous or unreligeouse its seems clear to me the one gift that we all have is free will......the freedom to chose our own fate......

Religions do have its answer do not blame the religion, we should blame ourselves for not knowing, people who really wanted to know about the creator and his creation really had gone for the quest for it and finally they found it.
The answer for this is not so simple that anyone asks and get the answer but,it needs a great deal of struggle to know the reality.

I think that we are all here to pay taxes to our respective governments, to be ordered what to do, and how to do it, by them.
We are here to provide the people in governments with a wonderfull life - squandering the money they took from us in any way they see fit - with out any accountability to us.
Oh, and did I forget to mention?, they are God ... or at least they think they are.

There is always a reason why we exist. There is a purpose and a reason why we exist. There is a God and He is the one in control of everything. Why are we here in this world? It is because He loves us, and he wants every human being to partake of this kind of love, a love to be felt and a love to be shared. Specifically, a love between a husband and a wife, a love between parents and children are just but examples of a love emanating from God to us his children. God wants us to be happy, and in order for us to feel that inner happiness, we must experience God's love and share it with others. There is always a reason behind life. God wants us to experience what we call eternal happiness while we are still here on earth. To die physically is not the end of the road. I believe God has designed a purpose for each and every person, so that we all live with him eternally.

If you ask Douglas Adams what's the answer to the ultimate question about life, universe and all that, you'd hear that the answer is 42. And I find the answer quite fitting. Because I was always told that for silly questions there are only silly answers.
Now, I don't want to offend anyone. I simply believe that everybody, everything, exists for an antire different reason. My reason for being will be different than yours, my cat's reason for being will be different that the reason for being of a fly. I also think that the reason for being can change during your life. It's not all that simple, cannot be described in one single sentence. You should be able to find it on your own or change it.
