High oil price!Are you still willing to buy a car?

I am now strugling with this porblem.If the oil price cannot stop going up,I think I will take the taxi rather than buying a car.

Ugh! We want to sell our car actually. The oil price is so high that it's such a pain... We usually use PUV's instead. Or only use the car on special occasions. We'll probably sell it by December. Hehe.

Buying car nowadays is not practical. I know some people who intends to sell his car simply because he can't afford to spend a lot of money just for the gasoline. He says that he will just take a ride on public utilities when going to work. That's a big savings for him...

Good morning! Prices of all essential items are increasing. Oil is not different. That does not matter ifglan. Oil price had changed in the past also. Nothing happened and people continued buying cars and using it. ofcourse selling it to others is an option when you want to buy a new car !

at the moment, i have no plans to buy a new car because of the continuing oil price hike. it is better to commute in a public transportation than to lost a lot of money only for buying gasolines of my car. and it's really hard to drive now a days because of the traffic problem. for me, it's only nice to have a car when going out of town.

Hello ifglan, buying a car is okay as long as you get one with low oil consumption and then you will be all right. In my country we have really cheap motorcycles(bike) and it has really low oil consumption but you will need to sacrifice safety for it.

To me owning a car is a necessity. Even though the price of oil has increased, it is important for me to have a car because with a car it is very convenient for me to go places. It can save a lot of time if compared with taking a bus or calling the cab. So even though I lose money but I gain from the time factor. Now that the oil price in country has dropped 40 cents per litre and I am very grateful for the reduce in price. I still calculate on where to go even though the price of oil is reduced. I want to be careful on spending my money to petrol because there are many other things which I have to use my money for. I will not sell my car because it is a useful asset for me.
