Does anyone else watch movies on tv with commercials and all when they own it

I always find myself wondering why I am watching a show or movie on tv with commercials when I own the DVD. Not sure why I do it but I do and it kinda drives me crazy. Does anybody else do this to, and why.

I do it because, at that very moment, it is more convenient than getting the DVD and putting it in. Also, the commercial breaks are useful when I want to get up and go to the bathroom. When I have a DVD on, I am often too stubborn to pause the movie to get up and grab a drink or use the restroom. The best explanation that I can give is that it is due to a laziness that I have adopted and fostered.

That is just too funny because it is so true. LOL I have to laugh, that is another why I have why do we refuse to pause the movie because I very often do that same thing. I remember just a few weeks ago my husband had gone to the race track and after I put the kids to bed I put in a movie, and had had a couple drinks and really had to use the restroom, but I don't have a remote for this particular DVD player I was using at the time, and refused to get up and pause it to go to the bathroom. That is so crazy.

If humans are offered a luxury, most often, they will take it. We have a lot of DVDs in the living room that I HAVE NOT SEEN, yet I will sit and watch a movie that I have literally seen at least a dozen times on TV, again. As I said before, just more convenient. And, I am glad that you know exactly what I am talking about.

I sometimes prefer watching the movie on TV rather than on DVD because of the lethargy I face when it comes to taking out the DVD player, plugging it to the power mains, inserting the DVD, and finally when the movie is over, taking it out, putting it back in its right place, and so on and so forth. It is a lot less hassle just to watch it being telecast on TV. Also, when the commercials are aired, I enjoy tuning on to other favourite channels of mine, thus not missing any shows totally. Finally, sometimes I even like watching the commercials themselves. Cheers.
