I strongly agree that metal music can influence people...I've been playing metal music personally for years now, and I know how much it has changed my life, and the life of others...I was in a band for about 4 years (www.myspace.com/otfbs) and the experience of playing for people on a regular basis completely changed my life for the better, and was told by random people i've never met, that it influenced them...

Influence them in what way? To make them commit violent acts? No, I don't think that is true, at least not for most mentally stable people. If you hear love songs over and over does that make you go out and fall in love? Of course not! Music is an influence, for instance sad music may make you feel sad or even cry at times. Happy music puts a smile on your face. But, for most people that's about it. Listening to heavy metal won't do much of anything besides hurt your ears
