For the past few days I have been reading a lot of myLot discussions; commenting on some and not on others. I have also just sat here browsing through the surmountable new selection of titles. I have been here at myLot for just over a year and I think what I have notice in the past few days is that myLot discussions have changed. Do you think myLotter's are taking their writings more seriously then before? I do! I What do you think? Do you think myLot writers are raising the bar on the quality of discussions being posted?

Hi there!
I've just been here for a month now and I think the discussions here are really interesting. I can't say the differences between then and now. But if you think that mylot members are raising the bar on the quality of discussions being posted, then its good. It only means that everybody is developing their writing and thinking skills.
Ciao!

I agree with you, I think most every one does tend to develop their writing skills. I guess like anything sometimes we go through dry times when nothing seems to come out just right and then other times we are pleased with ourselves for how we expressed ourselves in our writing. Soon you will be an old pro at this yourself. ARe you enjoying yourself here so far?

Oh yes indeed! I'm really enjoying what I am doing. This is much fun than anything I have done before. So far I think my writing, thinking and communicating skills have developed and I really like that. I think developing these skills is one advantage of joining here in mylot.

Well, I have been here for almost 2 months now and what I have obeserved is that I have found some posted discussions a year ago that are interesting to me. I don't know what's the real score because I am new to this site but I observe also that there are new discussions from new members that are not much interesting to me to respond. Sometimes I am having a hard time looking for one that I like to response. Well, Those who are here for a long time maybe you have the right to say whatever you observe because you are here for long and you know better.

You have done well for being here two months with over 500 posts. I agree there are days when it is hard to be inspired to make comments. I guess we all have our good and bad days of starting good discussions. I guess the other thing we have to remember is that what is a interesting discussion to one person it is a boring non interesting subject to another myLotter. To each their own you could say.

Well, I have been a member here for almost 21 months now. I have seen a lot of people come and go on here. I have seen a lot of the discussions change from time to time on here as well. I think for the most part, it varies day to day what is on here, as to what you are looking for on here as well. That is the nice thing about this site is the variety as well. Just my thoughts.

Variety is what I love most about myLot. I like reading serious conversations to the most simple. What ever catches my attention I will read it. I will actually read things that don't interest me. I go down the list and read whatever comes next.

I do see the quality of discussions are much better by mylotters then when I first started. My problem is I am not so sure I can meet the challenge myself.

Coffeeanyone, I have noticed that good discussions comes in waves... For the moment things are calm and there are many good topics out there. A month from now I venture to say you will be frustrated with the amount of gibberish you see. Also my experience has been that the longer you are here in mylot the better you get at spotting great material to respond to. You get to know the names and the AV's and you can seek them out faster.

I totally agree with you about good discussions coming in waves. Even for myself I can see there are times I am happy with my discussions and times when they are not so great but I start the conversation anyway. Gibberish would be a good word for it. I do find when I have more time to just relax and spend some quality time in at mylot that I do find more interesting topics and I post better myself as well.

Well, I first joined a year ago, but I got distracted an didn't come back around till almost 2 weeks ago. But I definitely think the quality of write and discussions is excellent! But I definitely think it's possible that standards and writing would get better over time. I hope to get better the longer I am here, and I hope to be able to contribute more and more good discussions as I get more settled in. I very much have been enjoying my time responding to discussions.

I am like you I joined and then didn't come back for a long time. I finally forced myself to give this site a good chance to grab my attention. I am really glad I did even though I don't get as much time as I would like on here.
