Are you feeding your kids??

Our son moved out on his own a few months ago which I didn't believe he was prepared to move out but of course let him make up his own mind.
The job he has gives him strange hours, sometimes plenty or even too much for one week, exhausting him with hours and then the next week he might only get a few hours. It's not steady enough for him to know he will have the money to survive month to month so...
... he comes home and eats here almost daily.
Do your kids live away from home?
And do you have to supply them with food?

My 2 oldest kids 21 and 19 are moved out, both moved out at 18 years old. I have not had to support them, however I have helped them out a few times. I do not see anything wrong with helping them from time to time as long as they have a job and are trying. They will figure it out soon and will not need me at all. In fact, come to think of it, My oldest who lives 2 hours away has not ask for help for about 6 months now. So hang in there, he will grow out of it.

Well, my children are too young to think about that right now but if my children were older I don't think it would bother me much.
As long as they were trying to make it on their own and weren't just being mooches.
Your son is trying to make it on his own and that is something to be proud of. When he gets a real steady job you'll miss him coming around to eat I'm sure.
