Can you do you work/assignment infront of the television?

That depends, if the T.V. is off then I believe I can but if it's on even if you don't like the show you can never finish doing anything right away infront of your television. It's not only the entertainment box, its the distraction box.You can't serve two masters at the same time...:D

I can. I always need something on, whether it's music or television, because it helps keep me focused on my task. It sounds weird, but I can concentrate more with noise around me. Even when people are talking I can still concentrate. I'm also pretty good at tuning things out.

let me tell you my friend that I can never do it and i think i can do it only if the channel is the one that i am not interested to see. I have tried it a couple of times by keeing my favourite channel as a test for myself and see weather i can control myself or not but i am not able to do it perfectly as what i wanted to do it. Anyway i am advicing to one and all, that it is not at all advicable to watch TV while you are studying because you will not be able to concentrate well and i feel that it is most important thing while studying. well i do most of my assignments watching tv only...well my parents don't like it but i can cope with both of them..i have made it a habit to do my work infront of t.v.

yeah, I feel the same as you, my friend. I like watching TV while doing my homework in my childhood, and now Computer has replaced TV while I'm working:) These such things are both distractive to me. But I can't help it!!!

yes I can. It keep me company and give more strength to do work, especially while writing for internet like right now. I like to do many things at once. I ma weird.

I can. The t.v. is usually playing in the background and i simply pay no attention to it.
