For me it takes 2-3months, a 300-page book. I can't read when I'm in the office. I immediately rest when I get home, it takes 2-3 hours from the office and I sleep during my travel time. I only have time to read during weekends after lunch. But sometimes, I tend to sleep rather than reading. Its not obvious that I really love to sleep. Lolz.

Depends on the book. If the book grabs my attention from the start I won't put it down for hours and will set it down long enough to cook dinner and get that cleaned up and then back to the book. I can read a 300 page book in a weekend so 1 to 3 days depends on what I have planned. If it's a real good book I don't dare take it with me to bed to read a couple of pages because I won't go to sleep. lol

I agree with you. If I start really reading right before sleep, I keep telling myself, just another chaper, and pretty soon, it's hours later!

An average 300-page book will usually take me an entire week to finish. It also depends on my availability. I can finish 1/4 in a day if I'm really interest and I do my best to fight and not doze off while reading.
I almost always tend to lie down while reading. I'm really uncomfortable when reading upright (sitting or standing). I can manage 5 minutes but more than that I get irritated. It's really weird.

Me too, I love to lie down while reading. And if I'm feeling sleepy, I just set aside the book and close my eyes. Lolz.

Hi Yukiyoh, depends on the book. If it is very interesting, I can finish it within a week. The fastest I read was Da Vinci Code (Dan Brown) - I finished that in 2 days. It was so interesting, I wasn't able to put it down. I remembered reading until 2 - 3 am.
Those books that I've started and found uninteresting, I'd leave them aside, and start another book...then come back to the earlier ones later.

I loved the "Da Vinci Code." I was so disappointed with the movie because the book was so riveting. I have read all of Dan Brown's other books because of reading the first one.

I agree, the movie was very much different from the book. I'm also disappointed until the movie was finished. Sigh. Dan Brown is also one of my favorite author.

It depends on the book.
A novel usually takes 2 days if I am free while a week when I am relatively busy.
If its a book on something like biography then it may take anything from a week to 10 days.

It depends on how fast I read, the availability of time, and my interest in that book. There was a time in the remote past when I could devour seven books in a day. Now, I am not as unemployed as I once was. So I am slower. I would take around 7 days to read a 300-page book, if I go slow. If I go fast, I would finish it within a day.
Cheers and happy mylotting

hehe, that totally depends on the book itself. if it is interesting, i will read it slowly and enjoy every part clearly. but if it is common and not quite interesting to me, then i will read it quickly and just know the simple skeleton.
a good book worths your time, don't you think so?

Depending on how interesting the book is, I'd say a few hours to a whole day. I read while eating and I've read at work. I used to work in a library, so it wasn't that hard to read there. And, I read when riding in cars or on the bus. Since I don't drive, that's even more time.

I can't read in moving vehicle, I sleep instead. They also say that it is not good reading in moving vehicles because you can lose your eye sight eventually. But now, I'm wearing eye glasses of staying in front of the computer for almost whole day. Lolz.

As it has already been said, it depends on the book. I can finish a book in a day or two if I've got nothing else to do. If it's boring, I just can't put it down because it will bug me that I didn't finish it. Then it takes longer. I read one not too long ago that was so bad it took over a week or two. It was painful!

It usually takes me one to three days to finish a book, depending on a few things. One, how much time I have to dedicate to reading. If I have nothing else to do I can read a 300+ page book in one day. Secondly, it depends on how captivating the book is. If it's really good, then I have a hard time putting it down, so I get it done faster, If it's a little boring, then I put it down more and it takes me longer.

If the book is really nice, I bring it in the office and read it during break times. Anyway, thanks for the response!

For me, it all depends on how good the book is. If a book captures me from the very beginning, I can read it in a couple of days no matter how long it is. If it's a book that I find myself struggling to get through, I work on it for about a month, then usually give up and try that book at another time.

It really depends on how interesting the book is. I know I read the ninth Pendragon book in about four days, and the last Harry Potter took me 10 hours (one all-night sitting). But I read 1984, which I thought was kind of boring, and that took me 2 months, for a much smaller book. So...yeah.
