My sister is going far far away to her university and I am really going to miss her. How do you cope with this?

But it isn't fair. I always thought that we would stay together and now we will be apart. I hope it will get easier :(

Facebook, myspace, email.... Write ,write, write! Share photos. My oldest has been gone for eight years. The last time we saw him was Dec 2005! Yes I miss him too but the internet really helped with that. Also, video conferencing is great, makes you feel like you are there or they here! Good luck. K

I want to keep in touch and email her everyday but I am worried that I may seem too lost without her and overwhelm her. Thanks for the video conferencing idea it will sure help me alot when my sister goes :)

since you and your sister have a mile distance away from each other, the best thing you can do is to stay your communication with her always open. you can check on her everyday as much as you want. you can still have that little talks to her like what you usually do before. with that, you can still feel and keep the bond you have with each other. and never ever forget to tell her how much you care for your sister even if she's away from you.

I want to talk to her everyday but she told me that she wasn't going to contact me for the first month so I can get used to the idea of her not being there. This is really hard for me as I will miss her alot and the wait will just drive me mad.
