I can relate with you am trying everything to put my son on an earlier bedtime schedule, before he sleeps at 2 am or 3 am but now that i stopped nursing Him he's sleeping a lot more earlier, I say around 11 or 12 mn. I'm fine with it. Maybe next year it would be a lot more earlier.

Yeah, we've always had better luck staying up a little later but sleeping in in the morning. Eventually I'd like to have her in bed by 8 or 8:30.

I don't think you can pick one time and say everyone should go to bed then. It depends on your child and your own schedule. I do think 8:00 is a good time but not right for everyone.

My 6 year old goes to bed betwenn 8 and 9. My 17 month old goes up about 7. My youngest used to go up later because he was waking up properly at 5am so now he goes up at 7 so it still gives me at least an hour with my oldest before he goes to bed. I don't think it really matters too much if their the only one and/or if you don't need to be up early. I think I used to have different times and changed them to suit the schedule.

Wow! That's awesome that he sleeps so much. You are definitely lucky. :)
