How many days/months/years can you remain away from your loved ones? / myLot

We have so many peoples around us who loves us cares for us. Some are very close and some are near dear ones. We feel longing when they go away from us. How many days do you feel that you may remain away OR NOT?

All our family lives many states away so we usually see them only once a year...for our annual Thanksgiving family reunion. It doesn't bother us because we are used to it. We have never lived really close in our 34 years of marriage, though this is the furthest away we have ever lived.
