Did you ever have an "out of the body" experience?

I keep an open mind about the paranormal. I don't know much about "paranormal," but I take it for granted that it includes ghosts, clairvoyance, true dreams, and things like that. I am one of the unfortunate characters of this world who have never had a paranormal experience. Maybe I am not ready for them. I mean, if I dead great grand mother were to suddenly appear before me, I would be scared stiff. But, I am reading a book on astral travel right now. And it is intriguing. It tells about how you can leave your body, visit the moon or your dead boyfriend, whichever you prefer, and then come back to your body. Woweee! Is it possible? Isn't it scary too? I mean, what if you pop out of your body and meet the Christian devil complete with his fork and knife and smacking his lips? Just kidding!! But, if you know something about this subject, please tell me. I will be so glad to know. Cheers and happy mylotting

I don't have these experiences. My oldest daughter does. She never mentioned them when she was a child, but after she grew up she told me that she used to just "zone out" when things got hectic. She said she would be sitting up on a roof leaning over the edge looking into a window and calling to the boy about her age who was in the room. When she was in her 30's she was visiting chatrooms that was dedicated to the paranormal. She was telling this story, and one guy in the chatroom responded "I used to think the wind was calling me." (Her nickname is Wendy). When he described the house he grew up in, it was the same house she used to visit. That's only one place she visited that she told me about. She's long wished she could have the experiences when she wanted and go where she wanted, but they are, so far, spontaneous.

There is no Satan. Relax! That's Christian bull to keep people in line and doing what they want them to. Just clear your mind and in time you can have an out of body experience. It is not bad. (I actually find it relaxing.) Juts relax and think of leaving the body (your essence, that is,) and think of a silver thread attached to your belly buttton so you can come back in when you want. It takes practice, but it nice! Enjoy!

Hello, positiveminded1977! I have studied this technique of astral voyage, and how could I do to get out of my body. I have never believed in this, but I was hopeful, and I thought that, with so many people talking about it, I could try! I tried one day. Nothing happened. I tried the other day. Nothing happened. I tried the day following. Nothing. And I kept on trying, until I discovered that, for me, this isn't real. There is no such thing as spirits floating, I guess. I went back to the websites I visited, explaining the techniques, and do you know what I found? Lots of comments saying: "I couldn't do it!". Which means there are thousands and thousands of people trying, but nobody is able. I know, there are people who just say they have done it. But people can confuse things. There are people who will add a lot to their story. There are others who think that they have done it, while they were just sleeping. But if there is ANYONE who can do this and is reading this comment, I'm sorry, because I didn't want to offend anybody. I really wanted to be able to do this, but I just tried and tried. And for those who say they can do it easily, can someone please find Renato Russo, a brazilian composer, and ask him to pull my spirit out of my body when I'm sleeping? I'm not making fun, it's serious. If this is true, then I'd need help. Back to the point, I have never believed paranormal things, and won't believe as soon, unless it happens to me. Respectfully, Munhozmib.

astral travel can be and is very dangerous, and i dont reccomend it for the novice.. or even for the experienced. it leaves your spiritual self as well as yer PHYSICAL self extremely vulnerable. think about it.. if yer body is left unoccupied.. something else can take up residency. if youre interested in "traveling" i suggest you research and learn ethereal.. aka "dreamwalking" while it can still be dangerous.. it is less risky than ripping yer soul out of yer body and taking flight elsewhere.
