does anyone no the truth about 2012?

I think it has a great probability to be true because it has never happened that so many cultures, so many religions have predicted the end of world to be around 2012 and mostly predicted it to be in 2012. Great genius and scientists have also mentioned this end in their writings. It seems unbelievable but the day is nearing little by little and time itself will show us the right answer to all these.

i havent heard anything about it... but in 2012, i will be 48 years old...and hopefully alive and happy in whatever i am doing in my life...

Those of you who said "read the bible". Please do not encourage or discourage any religion because it may create unwanted attention and conflict. I've haven't really "believed in aliens" or not believed in the same time. I've never heard about new planet colliding with earth, this discussion is actually the first time I've heard of the idea. Are you sure you didn't make it up just to scare people? I think that there will be less war in the world because they are currently working on world peace. Also, an alternate fuel will be found that will not damage the ozone layer. By 2009, they should have put algae fuel in gas stations in North America, South America, etc. because oil is becoming to expensive to be bought in foreign countries. I think that the world is going to be a better place in the future, just have a positive attitude.

There is no such thing as aliens. There are people worldwide who maybe is living in forests away from the mainlands and never ever interact with others until they are found but this does not constitute them as being an alien. If you believe in such thing then you will believe that baby indeed drop from sky when you see a friend with a baby which is her's but you have never seen her with a pregnant belly nor did she show signs of being fat.

Hi lou1982, there is something related to Mayan calendar which ends at 12/21/2012. But in my oppinion it's something like years 666, 1000, 1666, 1999, 2000 etc. The problem I think is that people like waiting "The Big End". I don't know why. But there always some who says - "it's near!". I think there can be a reason in the world to terminate life on the Earth (like asteroid, Sun collapse, nearby supernova, etc) but, what is discussed around is usually some scary blah-blah-blah, because people like feeling fear especially if it's fear of world-wide-end, even hypothetical. Look at 2012 survival guide. They sell some books etc, but if there will be such a dramatic catastrophe - will any of this stuff help?... Can anything really help you if your living environment is totally destroied? So it's more about money making then anything else.
