My vote goes to Kobe. In all aspects of the game, Kobe is the most complete player in the game. I think many times people don't appreciate him because he is not Micheal Jordan. What I mean by that is, he was crowned the "Next Jordan" early in his career. No matter how hard you try, you'll never live up to that. For that matter, LeBron never will either.

I agree with both things, Kobe and Pierce. I laughed when I heard him say that he was the best player in the NBA because his name is never mentioned in that discussion.
Kobe is ruling this vote --13
Wade, Iverson, Paul --1

True statement, there. I think with what he has around him that Kobe is poised to make and MJ type of run 3 in a row 6 out of 9:)

A vote for A.I. He is good, but getting past his prime, I think. Either way, he goes into the voting

Paul, Wade, A.I- 1 each

After it is all said and done, LeBron might be the best. Agreed that right now, Kobe is still the man:)

True, Kobe has a little more around him to lesson the blow if he left. The Cavs would be a lottery team without LeBron.

Paul, Wade, Iverson-1 each

I'd go for Kobe Bryant. xD
There have been many criticisms about his game, primarily him being a "ball hog" but I've seen him this season and he's really improved on that. He has learned how to trust his teammates. xD
Oh, and I think he is still the best "Closer" in the game. Willing to take big shots when it matters the most. :P
Hoping for a better LA Lakers team the next season. Lol. xD

I hate to write it, but Kobe is undeniably the best player in the league, I hate how cocky he is.

All the great ones have an attitude of cockiness. That is what makes them great, I think.

From a pure talent standpoint, it's tough not to choose Kobe. However, when it comes to team leadership, motivation, and the abillity to make those around him better, Kobe hasn't delivered. If I were starting an NBA franchise, I would take Chris Paul first. While he doesn't have the physical gifts or all the talent Kobe has, he makes his teammates better and is a true leader, not just someone who stares down his teammates when they make a mistake and tries to bully his teammates into being better.

yeah, in terms of talents and skills in playing basketball it would be kobe the best player in the nba as of the moment. he is the best in terms of individual skills to play basketball as of today but but he is selfish when we talk about team play. you can't win an nba championship by just you, you need a team effort.

I would have to say Kobe, although I do not like him at all. He is somewhat selfish, and I don't think he can win a championship on his own. Yet he scores so much, and is starting to pass more. He is also improving defensively, making him more of a complete player. I would say LeBron, but he hasn't won a championship either, and he plays less defense than Kobe does. So, Kobe gets my vote only because better players haven't won.
