1G ram is not enough for you?My laptop is 1g ram, inter schip,80G harddesk, and my laptop is hp,i use it very well,it has a high speed. Why do you want to get more large ram?The speed is not fast, do you play games? i consider 1g ram is enough that however you do.

haha, well. I'm worried that I wont be able to handle DiabloIII. I know i'll probably need a better processor & a little more RAM would be nice unless it's super expensive.

I don't know about lap tops but I have used this site to buy stuff for desktops. They can run a test to see how much memory you can upgrade to and then give you a price. I used it to upgrade memory on two of my desktops and it was cheaper than any where else I had checked. it is crucial.com

first check if your laptop has additional RAM slots.....
if it has then you check if its DDR or DDR2...
and then finally according to how much you can spend, get a suitable sized memory....

Hi Louie, the cost of RAM really depends on the brand. But here in Indonesia are quite cheap for those kinds of RAM. They are about 200 - 400 thousand rupiah for 1 GB or about US$20-USS40. Cheap, aren't they?

Hi,
First of all before you a buy an extra RAM check first if it is compatible with your system or not, ask the clerk first before you buy, because there are instances that RAM isn't compatible with some laptops. Also, check your laptop if there are still extra slot for the extra memory. It is important to know because we want you to avoid spending more cash.
So back to your question. RAM prices differ from each other, prices depends on the brand and its capacity, because as you know RAM comes from 512GB and 1GB upgrade. Usually 512mb ranges from $15 to $20, while 1GB usually ranges from $25 to $30.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck on your upgrade. =)
