A while back i read a comment about a woman using Antiperspirant on areas other than her Armpits. I also was told around the same time that if you put it on areas you've just shaved it prevents the razor burn bumps. Today I found out another one - Covering a bug bite with antiperspirant (not deodorant) will make the itching stop and the swelling go down. Apparently the aluminum salts in the antiperspirant help the body reabsorb the fluid in the bug bite and stop causing a reaction. I found this in Women's world magazine and they reference Kenneth Haller, M.D. assistant professor of pediatrics at Saint Louis University.

Very interesting indeed ,I didnt know about these uses for antiperspirant. It sounds very convincing and I hope I get a chance to test those two theories .I think I stand a greater chance of getting to test it on bug bites because I dont get razor bumbs ,which is just fine with me .Thanks for the information ,now I will look on anti perespirant in a different manner

Hi, saundyl. Thanks for this information here! It is really useful. I am trying to find a solution to these pesky insect bites that mosquitoes give to me. I may just have to try this idea out.
