Hi everybody how many agree with me that call center is the most happening thing. Its a place where u find decent people, the environment is very friendly, u dont go calling yr seniors sirs, and madams, u get a very good pay better than any other industry can give, u have transport facility which picks or reaches u home to/from doorstep no matter where u stay, u have a clean, international standard, and friendly atmosphere, u work only 5 days a week or say 47-48 hrs in a week. U have outings almost every month, whatelse does one want in life. Yes its a night shift job but looking at the advantages this one disadvantage is easy to digest to most of us what say????

I'm also in the call center industry. I totally agree with your observations. It's always fast-paced and lots of advantages over disadvantages. The most common are the salary. It really pays well compared to most day jobs. Call centers usually have nice working environments and very competitive to top companies. Diversity is all around. I agree to your point. There's no discrimination on education, religion, race, etc. The place is usually upbeat and yeah, I even call the top boss by first name. 2 steps above.
There are notable disadvantages though. For starters, call centers are not for every one. It takes toll on the body at some point due to the shifting and wee hours of working. Next, it's dangerous to go to and from work especially at night. Some places aren't safe to travel.
Nevertheless, it's a fun environment. Take care!

Yes it is a good way to start out, most especially if you don't have anywhere else to go. It's also a good career starter since you are molded to speak well and adjust well under pressure.
But, I dare say, it's not something most can do for a long time. It simply is a stepping-stone for majority.
The routine and mundane tasks which are almost always repetitious could be considered a jewel for some but not for all, most especially for those individuals who strive to learn more or use their minds in a much broader perspective.
I have tried working with call centers but sooner found the jobs to be too mundane regardless where I went.
Anyhow, I'm not pulling the industry down, it's quite good that they exist in my country, but I couldn't say that it's the most happening thing. I guess I could say, it's there but more and more people would want something more.
I could even say nursing is the most happening thing still.

its good that you enjoying your life in a call center which is contradictary to the image which i have of a call center. i thought its really frustrating and boring to listen to people and their stupid problems. its nice to hear something positive on such a critical issue,

Yes i would agree to that statement but there is always a disadvantage in working in a call center first some of them don't know how to manage their money because there is always money after 2 weeks.Vices name it the call center have it but its up to you to fight or join them.
