What does dreaming inside my dream mean?

I have always dreamed inside my dreams. The worst one I had was waking up 7 times inside my dream, only to find out that I am still inside my dream so I had to sleep again to wait till I wake up in the real world. Is this normal? What does this mean?

Hello there jotan23, I have dreamt dreams like you did but I think I have never had that many dreams in one dream. i think it's normal but to have 7 dreams may be not. Maybe you watch too many horror movies or you have a trauma of something so it keeps appearing in your dreams.

oh no, I never had any trauma and I don't like watching horror movies. I am really really curious what these dreams mean. Have been experiencing these dreams for years now.

It means you are excessively worried about something in your life. Possibly the inner dream represents this.

but my inner dream is really normal like it was the real world. For example, in my dream, i woke up from my bed and realized I am still inside my dream so I had to sleep again.

I once had a dream inside a dream. In my dream I woke up and I realized that I had overslept and that I had missed my exam. Then I woke up still in my dream and I realized that I hadn't overslept and that I hadn't missed my exam. And then I woke up in real life and realized that there was no exam, it was all just a dream. I have never tried to wake up 7 times in the same dream, though. I once read something about the meaning of a dream inside a dream and I was trying to find the article again, so I could tell you sbout it, but I haven't found it yet. I remember one thing from the article: A dream inside a dream is generally a positive thing and it is a sign that you have been through a certain development. I will get back, if I find the article...
