She makes my heart cry out with joy
Each time I see her there.
Her graceful form, eyes can't avoid.
Her skin so smooth and fair.
Her arms reach out alluringly;
She beckons even now.
Her face aglow, assuring me,
All will be right somehow.
Her moves, so effortless and smooth
And ageless in her stride;
Her beauty tends to quell and soothe
This man's oft wounded pride.
She's mine! All mine! And all who know
Will speak, though grudgingly,
That she, as said by friend or foe,
Responds to only me.

I'm going to go out on limb here and say that the main person is Cyrano de Bergerac? Don't ask, lol. The whole scenario made me think of that famous scene under the balcony. Roxanne was the woman's name in that story, I think. I'm wrong, aren't I? At least I took a shot.

Thanks for your response Xdrowninghavocx. But your guess is wrong. And it's also funny you should make that particular guess. It happens that my blog is entitled "Cyrano's Place" and the answer can be found there (although I didn't give the title of the poem).
Now, I must be up front with the younger generation. Take into consideration my age (65) and your age (21). Although there is a difference in our ages and certainly our interests, this particular subject does span that period of time in which you and I are living. Here's an important clue: Either one of two people could be speaking about the same subject. Sorry to be so cryptic but this is a riddle.
