In my backyard I have had a family of rabbits living there for years. Well yesterday, I saw a few baby rabbits out and about in my yard. They look so cute... This is their second litter this year. They like my yard because I share my garden with them...

Aww, how cute! My grandmother lives in a bit of a woodsy area, and rabbits seem to love her neighborhood. Once when we visited her, there were about 4-5 rabbits in her yard alone.
I live more in a city area, but rabbits are starting to sneak into our yard too. There just seems to be more of them lately.

Awwww! So cute. I just LOVE bunnies! Even my dogs are friends with the one we have.
Our neighbors had a BEAUTIFUL angora rabbit they kept in the heat in a metal cage. And they didn't want it, really.
One day a few weks back I mentioned how beautiful it was, but that it was a shame the hair as so matted and that this kind of rabbit needs grooming? They said they didn't want it, but got it for the kids one Easter. (The UGH of Easter? Kids wat a bunny until it wears off, then the parents hate caring for it and the kids won't and it gets neglected.)
So..I convinced them to take it home. The warned me it was mean. But it runs the house here free. I gave it an immediate bath and over a few days litter box trained it, the hair is groomed and SOFT and it sits every after noon on the couch and watches my soap opera with me! LOL! GREAT bunny!
I prefer if the bunnies are free and out in the yerd? But once they are domesticated..they can still run free in the home and make great pets after being litter box trained! Smaller than a puppy and fun to have around!
Aren't the little wild ones SO cute? (The neighbors are FLOORED now and I think they regret not having the rabbit? They did ot seem to know it could be trained to run free in the home!-And they see now it was not mean at all. Only sad and lonely out in that hot metal cage.-It is actually quite a cuddler! HA!)

My pet I never trained to use the litter box. I had dogs that went to the back door if they wanted to go out and the rabbit picked up on this. He would sit by the back door and would use his hind foot to rap on the door when he wanted out. He would rap on the door when he wanted in. He never went potty in the house the entire time I had him.

I live by a large lake and I get all sorts of wild life that pays me a visit from time to time. This area is also a bird sanctuary so we get to see many types of birds too. Have to take the good with the bad though, because I have seen many snakes in my yard too. I don't bother any of them, I just enjooy them...
