All one makeup brand or mix it up?

I was wondering how many people stick with using all one brand for their makeup? Like your foundation, eyeshadow, blush, etc all come from one line? I am a makeup junkie and I love trying new products, and once I find something I really like I stick with it but I'm all over the place with the makeup lines. I regularly use Bare Escentuals Bare Minerals foundation, Bobbi Brown gel eyeliner, & Too Faced mascara. But for my eyeshadoes I like to switch between Mac, Bare Minerals & Bobbi Brown. Same with blush. I remember years ago when I used to frequent different makeup counters in the department store I would totally be sold on buying everything from one line (and the saleswomen would convince me that I had to buy all of their products for them to work best-I was such a sucker!), but through the years I discovered that I don't always like everything and so now I mix them up.
Just curious. I love talking about makeup so I'm interested in hearing what other people like.

I love to mix it up so it provides a bigger array of colors. :] But once I find something that I like, I'll use it to the end and get more. Haha. I prefer e.l.f. products. Especially their super glossy spf 15 lip glosses. (My favorite, and work really well. ^^)

The vast majority of my makeup is Boots No 7 brand. I do have other brands, but I've never been satisfied with them. They don't provide the same cover or durability that No 7 does. I agree with you that sales people do try and make you buy all the same brand by implying that mixing won't work, and if I found other products that looked as good as No 7 then I probably would mix. I guess its just about what feels best for you!

hi there! some years ago, I am like you, I wear different brands of make-up, well, I only buy what I really use and need but then it comes from different brands.. not until I tried using mary kay skincare and cosmetics..from that moment, I really switched into mary kay and even become a consultant so I can have huge discounts on what I use, I sell mary kay part time and I enjoy it as well,. have a great day!

although I love many different brands I do not be fixed on purcasing all my products from just one. I found that after researching many products, each brand offers different types of things for each product. I use my foundation from Mac, while most of my eyeshadows are also from Mac and some from Laura Mercier. I use Bobbi Brown concealer and Nars Blushes and lipglosses. I chose those specific poducts because I felt that each one was the most suitable for me and I liked them the best out of each brand.

i have all different brands. some brands have a better product. I like urban decay eyeshadows, but i hate their mascara. Im pretty picky when it comes to makeup. I think its better to use different brands, even if you like a product. Unless you've found your perfect product, keep searching! its out there somewhere.

You should not have a problem if you use different makeup brands on your face. If you do notice a problem area on your face stop using that product right away and if it goes away, then you know that it is that make up line that is not suitable for your skin. Even if the problem is your foundation seems to make you skin feel like an oil slick just after a couple of hours, the ingredients in that particular foundation are definitely not suitable for your skin type.

I have make up in loads of diffeent brands. I try to stick to the bunny friendly brands like Avon, Urban Decay, Mac etc where possible, but i do like my Bourjois mascara and Boots make up. I don't think it's true that you have to use all one mak up line becuase of it working better together, and i don't think that's true of other cosmetics and toiletries either!
