The pace of life just gets out of control sometimes...

Sometimes, I just feel like I am going faster and faster to get everything done and squeeze everything in. Household tasks just seem to build up and overwhelm me sometimes. Feeling rushed all the time really is a drag!
Do any of the rest of your find yourselves moving at top speed from one task to the next, just trying to complete as many household jobs as you can? What do you do about it when you notice it?

There are times I feel like I'm moving faster just to finish my work on time. Although I feel tired, I am also overwhelmed of the tasks I have finished and how soon I have finished them.

Hello bianca0531.
It is nice to find a kindred spirit. Yes, it is upon us to try to manage our time and our schedules in ways that are less stressful, isn't it?
I do try to use lists to help me manage my tasks, plus, I don't have to carry it around in my head anymore, afraid I'll forget it. Somehow, having my list in my hands just helps me feel like I will eventually get to it all.
Take care and thanks for your response.

There are only 8 hours in a day. I make a To-Do List. Whatever I don't get done gets transferred to the next day's list. Some things I decide to put it on a Whenever I Get To It List! The only day I rush is when I do food shopping, because that is a MUST CHORE. I make sure I do the important things first. Most of the time, if a chore is boring, or I find it's tiresome, I procrastinate by going on-line, watching TV, or reading (magazines). But eventually, it gets done.

Using lists keeps me focused more than anything else! I have a short "immediate" list and a longer "get to it when I can list".
I also play, "beat the clock" on the day I go grocery shopping. I just want to get in and get out.
I've learned to dive right in on housecleaning day, in the morning. Otherwise, it will be noon before I'm getting started, and I hate that.
Yes, whatever we don't get done is waiting for us on the next day, isn't it?
Thanks for sharing, JanetBRudman. Take care.

At times I also feel like this for example for today I had kept 10 tasks out of which i could complete only 8 so 2 are pending and day has finished for me as I sleep at 11pm at night.May be for this I have to get up a little bit earlier tomorrow.

Hi sunita64.
Well, it sounds like you were pretty efficient if you got 8 out of 10 tasks done today. Hopefully, you can get those 2 jobs done tomorrow. I try to remind myself that there are only so many hours in a day and what I don't get done can wait until another day.
Sweet dreams, sunita64 and thank you for your response.
