To all Filipinos out there or anyone who's seen Philippine television (local channels, not the ones on cable):
I'd like to know everyone's opinion, because honestly it's been about 8 years since I last patronized a TV program and I only watch TV for about once or twice a month now. It all started when I felt that every time I stare at that electronic box, I waste my time. It's all "entertainment" and no content. Game shows, talk shows that focus on celebrities, and so much political noise. I feel like I don't learn anything. I compensate by sitting in from of my PC, feeding on information I find relevant.
The Philippines is said to have one of the world's liveliest media. Too lively for my taste. How about you guys? What is your attitude towards the types of shows and the quality of news and movies that the major broadcasting networks televise?

Peaceful... not so. The political noise in the country could deafen anyone. Thanks alpha7.
