My Washing Machine has gone into a Time Warp!

I've got a washing machine with a countdown timer on the front. I checked it a little while ago and it read 1.14 still to go. I stepped outside to feed the chickens and when I came back it read 1.17. Now either it's in a time warp, or I am! Which do you think it is?
I was out for a good 10 minutes, which means that I've perhaps lost 13 minutes. Imagine what I could have done with that time!
I wouldn't mind, only I'm gagging for a cup of tea and I can only have the washing machine or the kettle on one at a time.

Hahahaha! I have one of those timers on my washing machine too, GreenMoo - and I think it lies! Sometimes I go on a walk (which takes 35 minutes) - and know the washing should be finished when I get home. But, the machine then says there is still 12 minutes to go! Go figure! It's always tricking me and making me think I'm going mad. It's supposed to be an 'intelligent' machine, so maybe it alters its timing because of the load shifting or something ... or maybe it's a woman and just likes to change its mind!

I bought the cheapest machine I could find. It has a dial on it. I read somewhere that all you need is ten minutes to do the laundry washing part. In ten minutes the detergent has done its job and the rest is just a waste of energy.
Being the frugal person that I am I only let my clothes wash for ten minutes now. I don't think there is a need to go longer.
Enjoy your cup of tea!

The entire day of Sunday was that
way for me. I felt as if I'd posted
way more discussions.
Then somewhere along the way, I realized
that the four rant discussions that I had
responded to (but not started) had most
likely been deleted.
My MyLot number had done a backwards
dance of it's own!
I got smart and doubled up on posting.

Got any good stock market tips?
I would tend to think there's something wrong with your timer. Set your kitchen timer next time and see if the washer is losing or gaining time. You might have to make a minor adjustment with a screwdriver.

Those darned newfangled devices!!
I used to do all the work on my car when I was younger and before they changed everything to computer stuff. Sometimes I wish those days were back, where I understood things and they could be fixed with simple tools.

The timer is one of those electronic digital ones, so I'm not going poking it with a screwdriver. Heaven knows what I'd break!!
It's not like a timer is really important on a washing machine anyway really. I mean, it finnishes when it finnishes and knowing how long it has to go doesn't speed it up any ....

the time delay.I know that happened to me in our apart complex'
washroom. thetime went back to when the lightswent off.

Wow... That's pretty bad that you cannot have your Cup of Tea and do your laundry as well. Hopefully your laundry did get done so you could have your Cup of tea as well. I would think something was wrong if my Washer did this as well.

I think I would just grab it by its precious little dial, and turn it to zero, then go get my tea. Note to self, make tea first, do washing last, tea is more important.Maybe this is the clock that the mouse ran up ( hickory, dickory, dock) and he messed up the whole sense of time. I really do not know for sure, I believe I may just be babbling along on overtime. Fixing to join that washer in a time warp.
