Last Night's Season Finale-Spoilers

I thought last night's season finale was amazing! I loved how when it looked like the Doctor was regenerating, he only repaired himself and transferred the rest of the excess energy to his hand he lost in the fight with the Sycorax in the jar. I was sure that Donna was done for when the Tardis fell into the core. But then she touched the hand and "became" a timelord-human hybrid and the "new" Doctor grew from the hand and together they saved the others after Martha and Captain Jack tried and were thwarted by the Daleks. I loved that Rose got her life with the human version of "her" Doctor. I didn't know that Catherine Tate was leaving the show. So sad when the Doctor had to leave her with no memory of him or their adventures. What did you guys think?

I liked the episode a lot. I always thought that Donna was the best companion yet and I was really broken when she got her memory erased... I think that was way more cruel than just letting her die. Those memories was what made her realize she is not just a temp. She's brilliant and special... I have to admit I didn't like Rose's reaction. There she was, getting her very own Doctor, getting what no other companion in the history got. And yet she wanted the other Doctor to stay. That's what I call being greedy. I'm excited to see Martha and Mickey in Torchwood, but I was a bit disappointed that Jake didn't come with Mickey to this universe. I like Jake a lot :)

I thought that the episode was pretty Awesome! I was reading some pretty compelling arguments that Donna Noble was really Romanadevoratnalunda, and while they teased us with the possibility, that's not the way they went. I'm really looking forward to the Christmas Special...wonder if the Doctor will get his new companion by then and who it will be....

I thought it was really awesome! And the fans writing all those "domestic" stories with the Doctor and Rose settling down and having kids are now happy. That was so cool that the hand set back the regeneration and then grew into the human/timelord Doctor. We suspect that Martha and Micky are going to join Torchwood - Martha taking Owen's and Micky taking Tasha's place. What do you think?

Not a bad episode overall, but - considering it was a mass reunion of the Doctor's mob - why no Brigadier? I liked the subplot with the duplicate Doctor, and I loved the crazy bit where the Tardis "tows" the Earth home. I'll miss Donna, I thought she was the best companion since they've revived the series (I never liked Rose much, although I do like Martha). Do you reckon Martha and Mickey will be moving to Cardiff? I hope it's not too long until the next series of Sarah Jane comes on - with both Doctor Who and Heroes having finished in the last few days, there's suddenly a shortage of SF on the telly!

I believe it is the plan for Mickey and Martha to join Torchwood to fill the void left by Owen and Tosh's deaths. I can't wait to see it. Any idea when it starts?

I haven't heard anything about that yet.

Yes I liked how they cleared up any final things, such as Rose being able to have her life with the Doctor, where as I've always hated how the cliffhangers are solved quickly, but the way it was done was very clever, I'm gald David Tennet is still going to be the doctor for a bit longer :D -Sound

I thought that it was goood... But there were huuuge plot holes. I'm also a little irritated that the "bad wolf" motif was brought up again in Turn Left, but then never resolved! Why bring it up at all? As far as I've heard Davies isn't even going to be on for the next season, so the idea of a resolution... Auuugh. I thought that the Rose getting the "extra" Doctor was both really, really sweet (I'm such a sucker for them, I really am) and incredibly sad. I thought it was a sweet way to tie up that loose end, though-- I thought that was going to end sadly and I'm happy it was at worst bittersweet. REALLY glad to be rid of Tate. I find her incredibly annoying. There were waaay lots of plotholes, though, which bugged me although it's pretty typical for a Davies episode.

I wasn't sure about the episode (I've just watched it). Some bits I liked, some bits I didn't. I did feel that all the cliffhangers from last week were resolved too quickly. Of the two episodes comprising the finale, I would rate The Stolen Earth higher.

I loved it to bits, even though I was slightly spoiled. And my source turned out to be right, go him ;) It was definitely better than I was expecting; the two parters do tend to flop a little on the second part sometimes.
