I have not yet started any collection but it seems to be a wonderful idea. I am thinking forward to start a new collection of corals :) It would be such a wonderful and interesting hobby. I love nature and any collection related to nature, for example photos of trees, leaves, etc..it would be a good idea as well.

I like to collect seashells actually. Not too many though because I know that they could be put to better use in the ocean providing a home for a crab than collecting dust on my shelves. But I just can't help it sometimes. I've got a nice collection so far from Thailand, the Florida Everglades, and Hawaii.
