Have you lent out money and they never paid back?

I lent out money to this so called friend of mine who i was sharing a place with at the time. She told me I would get it back the next day but she disappeared, and moved out along with some of my stuff! I wasn,t happy cuz i never knew where she went. xx

Has happened to me as well. Loan money and no pay back...I might still loan money or items but not to the person that didn't pay or return before...

The best way to keep your friends is never loan them money or do business with them that involves them owing you money. If they owe you and can't or won't pay, you lose them as friends; where if you hadn't loaned them money, they might get miffed for a while that you wouldn't, but you don't lose their friendship.

we don't lend money either. On occasion we have friends who give the whole sob story about needing money for rent etc. The only thing we do now is if they are asking we'll buy food just for the kids, not their fault their parents are idiots

NO........But I sold a FRIEND a car who is dragging out payments..... still owes me $2,500.
