I do not own Tivo yet. I am thinking of getting one very soon. They are running a special right now and with 3 years of service, you get a year free. I need to make my purchase before they the special ends. My only problem is my TIVO would not be near a phone line. I need a phone line, I think? Can you tell me?

We had to have the phone line for the pay per view movie access. You can always get the wireless phone jack, that is what my mom did and hers works just fine this way. Up until she got the wireless jack hers worked ok, she just couldn't use the pay per view was all.

TiVo® is powered by TiVo® service. It automatically finds and digitally records all of your favorite shows. You can play them on your own schedule and are able to pause, rewind, or fast forward through them.
It is similar to the DVR's that are out on the market too. We have Directv dvr with tivo service

I dont have Tivo..but I think I shall like to try it some day..I dont even know what Tivo is..what is it?

TiVo® is powered by TiVo® service. It automatically finds and digitally records all of your favorite shows. You can play them on your own schedule and are able to pause, rewind, or fast forward through them.
It is similar to the DVR's that are out on the market too. We have Directv dvr with tivo service.

I have DVR...same concept. LOVE IT!!!! Record the shows watch then in peace after the kids go to bed. Push pause to change a dirty diaper, It is heaven

Yes it is the same concept! It is wonderful to be able to watch my shows when there is total peace and quiet.

I dont have Tivo, but i have the digital cable, so it lets us record tons of stuff!! I love it. I would be lost without it now lol. There are so many good shows on that we watch, and alot of them come on at the same time, so we have to record some of them. Its also nice being able to fast forward through the commercials.
