OMG! my favorite tennis player Rafael Nadal finally beat Roger Federer at the finals of Wimbledon!!! woohoo! after so many long years!! Rafa finally was able to stole the Wimby crown from Roger! talk about awesomeness!!! woohoo!
Spain is so lucky this year! after winning the championship in soccer comes the Wimby crown. i'm sure Rafa is very happy right now since he loves soccer too and now, he made history of finally defeating Roger at Wimby.

Yeah ^_^ I have read it on the papers too, but too bad i din manage to watch the match of the century, a record breaking match that lasted for 4hrs48mins.. lol ^_^ I only managed to watch till the 3rd set and i have to sleep.. lol =D
And wat i can say is that, rafa has got alot of determination and strength to win the epic match and he's truly a well deserved winner ^_^

you slept during the match and didn't finish it? how could you kun?? it was once in a lifetime match! it was the finals! if it was the quarterfinals or semifinals it would be understandable if you didn't finish it. 
anyway, yeah, Rafa has that determination. Roger always defeats him in Wimby and he probably got tired of it. ^__^

Because i had to wake up early the next day and so i have to give up watching it.. hehe ^_^ I wonder if they will show that classic match between the 2 again on star sports or ESPN.. hehe ^_^
YEah, Rafa has always been losing to roger in the finals of other tournaments, but this win is especially special for rafa.. haha ^_^ Because he is a spanish.. hehe

oh i wish i was able to watch the match jumpinjack! but i wasn't able to! i didn't even know its schedule! but i guess the match was a Monday here in our country so i probably wouldn't be able to watch it anyway because i have work. yes! my dream finally came true! i'm sure the match was really exciting! just reading about it in the news makes me excited. and when Rafa went to the bleachers to hug his parents and coach and that he getting emotional, i wanted to cry too! i wish i can go there and celebrate with him. ^__~

Yeah I'm sure you would love to celebrate with him.

seen it is I think it was played when it was early
in the morning where you are. Middle of the night.

It's nice to see someone happy here. But I have to say, I am a Federer girl. I finished the game until 4:30 am here, I pulled an all nighter just to watch this and I got so frustrated on how Roger lost. I love Nadal too but not against Federer.
It was a nice match though. I almost got a heart attack from the excitement. I was basically screaming and cheering at home, alone! I was jumping around and I can barely breathe especially during the last set. Poor Roger. Due to my frustration, I dreamed about the match. I turned off the TV when Nadal was already lying on the ground and went straight to bed. Anyway, Nadal did good. I think he played really well. I'm not really bitter about it and I'm not saying that he's not a great player but Federer could've done a lot better than what he just did to lose.

Another fan of Roger, like me.. Don't worry..Marababe.. Fede.. will be crowned the Grand slam next year.. He will be raining aces.. to the opponents..when he takes the centre court next year.

i've seen the last ten minutes of the last part. it was a great finals. Nadal was at his best. i saw in federer's face that he couldn't believe he lost. i'm sad for him. but i'm happy for Nadal. i've been a Nadal fan since i've been interested in tennis.

I love spain (no, I am not spanish) and I think they deserve to win in both euro 2008 and wimbledon. they played good and fairly in the euro. I didn't saw the wimbledon games couse my love for Tenis is still in the potentia. I don't watch tenis matches that much but I would like to. I am happy for you !

thanks vanila. i wasn't able to watch the finals of the wimbledon too. i just saw the news in the internet. and i saw some video clips of the match in youtube. the last set was really awesome. Nadal held his game.

This is another big win for Rafael Nadal. After beating Roger Federer in the French Open, he do it again in Wimbledon. What makes this more precious was he beaten him in his preferred court, where he holds the crown since 2002. Also Roger Federer was playing his best tennis in the tournament, almost unbeatable (correct me but I think he did not dropped any sets in the tournament) in his breezed to the finals. Though their rivalry can be consider as classic already where Roger Federer still holds the edge in term of men's ranking, maybe this win will start the rise and claim of Rafael Nadal to the number 1 spot.

This is really a big win for Rafa. and yeah, it is more special because he was the one to cut Roger's winning streak in the grass court and in Wimbledon. and Rafa is the only man since 1980 to have won the French Open and the Wimbledon on the same year. Rafa didn't just make a big win, he made history. and i hope the this is really his start to climb in the number one spot.

well, that was a fantastic win besides winning the French open too. he's the first to win two big trophies in the same year and that of the soccer champions Spain football team. this was a great historic moment for spain and caused for greater celebration.

Yes, I've watched that. Suffered through an entire day at work due to lack of sleep but it was *SOOOOOOOOOOOO* worth it. That was the greatest match I've ever seen. Hats off to both players. Whoever won would've really deserved it and I'm glad that it was Rafa. After all, this win was his major stepping stone to becoming world no. 1. =)
