How did you feel when you had your braces (teeth) removed?

I had my braces for 3 years and I was just lucky that there's this dentist/orthodontist who offered help to fix my teeth..the reason for the help is that I have a great/beautiful smile and nice teeth but I told him my lower teeth actually has space in between..So he offered to fix it for FREE.I did not pay a single cent to my dentist.I was just lucky.Then after 3 years we have to remove it bec. its already fixed.But then again..I still have to wear retainers.Sad part is that I lost the lower part of my retainers...due to negligence..bad girl..well I just hope that my lower teeth will not spaces again since I am not wearing any retainers now.Hopefully soon I can go to the ortho again to have a new pair of retainers.Well...I just miss my braces.I know in some countries...braces,nerd,weird or geeks are all the same.But in the phils. when you have braces...it's fashion for others and it adds up to the esteem of the person..and you feel cute if you have it.lol...well at least for some...

hmmm...so you've wasted money then..well I am guilty too.I lost my lower teeth retainer.The reason why I needed braces was bec. my lower teeth has spaces and it needs to be fix.But then I lost my lower retainer so I guess soon...it will be separated and will have spaces again.Too bad.I don't have to go to the dentist and get a new retainers.LOL

i felt i looked odd when they took them off.. like my teeth were too big!! i lost my retainer so my teeth have shifted a little but its only affected my bite and you would have to be obsessed and stare at my teeth to realize little imperfections here and there from not having it.. im glad i got them though because my teeth were horrible!!

When I was in 8th grade I begged my parents to let me get braces. Well my dad retired from work and spend 4 160 bucks to get me my braces. When I got them off I wore retainers for more then two years. When I stopped my teeth moved right back to where they used to be. Now that my wisdom teeth have grown in everything is just getting worse. I wish I could give my parents back the money they wasted on my teeth. Everything was a big waste and I have to live with the smile I tried to get rid of. They are not crooked just I have a cross bite again. I wish my teeth would go over the bottom like they did when I first had my braces removed. I don't trust braces now. grrr.
